Great way to blend psychology research with actionable habits! This concept definitely makes sense when I look back at certain things I do each day - I run every single day, but does it make my life miserable? No! I am used to it. Switching daily actions up reminds us of the joy and pleasure that they yield

Habits exist for a reason. Automation saves mental energy and makes daily life manageable. If every action required deliberate attention, even simple tasks would become exhausting.

i used to have 5 t-shirts picked out for the week so i can reduce decision making and therefore manage decision fatigue before i even got to make any important decisions. Then we would go to the same restaurant every day and get the special of the day.

This might sound crazy or incredible boring but it makes sense if you think about it. A friend of mine even accused of being a robot which in a way is a compliment if you love automation and efficiency.
